While the bumper was being painted - logbook Toyota Corolla 1988
While waiting for the bumper to be painted, I decided to make podiums for the speakers
myself ... I didn’t take a picture of the process and I won’t describe it, everyone probably understands, the more it is painted on the internet, so it makes no sense to repeat it. If anyone is interested, please ask and I will answer.
In general, I tried my best, especially since this is my first experience, so do not judge strictly.
Thank you, I also bought a stabilizer for myself, I'll measure it by diameter, tomorrow :)
In order:
I also really liked the rear shelf =)
in the doorway, I didn’t lean the upper edge tightly against the card, so there’s a small pocket, it’s even better, otherwise with old pockets there was always a bunch of garbage there was a
stabilizer, D = 24 mm
Not frail rear shelf! :) And the door podiums had to be made with pockets in my opinion)
By the way, the question is, do you have a front stabilizer for cars?
Under the tweeters, I probably got excited that I covered it with a Carpet, I’ll probably redo it later.
Most satisfied with the back =)
The shelf is old, I reinforced it with a layer of plywood from the bottom, I already screwed the support for the rings and the rings themselves to it, without settling the shelf, it will sag from the weight of the speakers.
I made pockets from plywood according to the shape of the pocket, then rings with guides, tights, resin, and finally covered everything with carpet.
The sound is normal, of course I'm not special in all the subtleties, but on the inside you need to make a hole. It’s better to make the rings yourself or ask in the carpentry shop, I cut them out with an electric jigsaw slowly, it turns out fine, the rails are made of rails, if the shape is complex, you can take it thinner and glue it with hot glue, if you dream up, then let’s say for making a guide or the shape of the whole structure, you can take fasteners from suspended ceilings, plastic pipes, plastic slats …
Listen, how's the sound?
and another question - where do you get the rings and guides for the speakers in the podiums?
