Cold very cold winter — logbook Toyota Corolla Fielder 2005

     Toyota Corolla Fielder 15 2005

One night in the winter we went with my father to the city of Bratsk (From Angarsk to Bratsk ~ 600 km.) As soon as the sun disappeared, the frost began to crush. The car on the move began to freeze not childishly, when descending from the mountains, the engine temperature arrow dropped to zero! (the radiator was covered with cardboard, on the way they also threw a quilted jacket on the drygatel to somehow keep warm) The temperature sensor overboard went crazy and began to show instead of the usual -32 just two minuses =)) The racks froze, and there was a feeling that we were going in a sports car with a diesel engine. On the way, they picked up and drove to the nearest village a kamaz driver who was warming himself with burning spares. When asked what happened, he said: “The oil in the engine froze while I was going to piss, but I started the engine and knocked it)). the engine was not turned off when we started, it turned out that the tires froze in the position in which it stood))) and the first 200-300 meters on the asphalt drove like a dead rural road)) When we got to Bratsk there was a terrible fog (I have never seen such a thing in my life) dense fog). The nine that overtook us at a traffic light after 50 meters were generally lost sight of in terms of dimensions, no emergency gang was visible. Upon arrival, about 10 liters dangled in the tank. We drove to Angarsk in the afternoon and flew in 5 and a half hours))) The nine that overtook us at a traffic light after 50 meters were generally lost sight of in terms of dimensions, no emergency gang was visible. PS On the second photo you can see the arrow of the engine temperature, there we went uphill on a straight line at 2000 rpm. in minutes, the arrow was slightly lower!
