The norms of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses, which establish liability for violation of traffic rules, have been clarified.

In particular, the fine for driving a vehicle with unreadable, non-standard or state registration plates installed in violation of the requirements of the state standard has been increased from 100 to 500 rubles. Effective from 6 August 2010.

Driving a vehicle without license plates is equivalent to driving without license plates installed in the places provided for this, as well as driving with registration plates equipped with materials that prevent or hinder their identification. Effective from 6 August 2010.

Liability has been introduced in the form of a fine in the amount of 500 rubles for driving a vehicle on which windows are installed (including those covered with transparent colored films - glass tinting), the light transmission of which does not meet the requirements of the technical regulation on the safety of wheeled vehicles. Effective from 23 September 2010.

When fixing violations using special technical means operating in automatic mode, having the functions of photographing and filming, video recording, or means of photographing and filming, video recording, the amount of the fine imposed must be the smallest within the sanction of the applicable article, and in cases where punishment is provided in the form of deprivation of the right to drive vehicles or administrative arrest, the punishment is imposed in the form of a fine in the largest amount provided for citizens - 5,000 rubles. Effective November 21, 2010.

Responsibility for driving into a lane intended for oncoming traffic (with the exception of avoiding an obstacle), in the event that a violation is recorded by photo and video cameras operating in automatic mode, is established in the form of a fine of 5,000 rubles. Effective November 21, 2010.

Failure to comply with the requirements prescribed by road signs or roadway markings will result in a warning or an administrative fine of 300 rubles (currently 100 rubles). Turning left or making a U-turn in violation of the requirements prescribed by road signs or roadway markings will result in a fine of 1,000 to 1,500 rubles, and driving in the opposite direction on a one-way road will result in a fine of 5,000 rubles or deprivation of the right to drive a transport vehicle. means for a period of 4 to 6 months. Effective November 21, 2010.

The federal law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication, with the exception of the rule on responsibility for driving a vehicle on which windows are installed whose light transmission does not meet the requirements of the technical regulation on the safety of wheeled vehicles, which comes into force on September 23, 2010 of the year, and the rules on liability for driving into a lane intended for oncoming traffic, and on non-compliance with the requirements prescribed by road signs or roadway markings, which come into force on November 21, 2010.
