Finally I drive with brakes! =) — Toyota Cynos, 1.5 liter, 1997
It happened!
After years of torment, it finally costs almost a native vacuum amplifier with a normally working GTZ.
The fact is that for a year I went without a vacuum cleaner (I pumped up my legs quite well XD), I couldn’t find it anywhere, and they asked for a lot of money. As a result, in August last year, by scientific poking and selection, a vacuum cleaner was found from an unknown Nissan, with a diameter and distance between the pins coinciding with Tsinosovsky.
With the use of dances with a tambourine, he nevertheless took root instead of a non-working native. but there was something wrong, he missed it somewhere, so I skated with him for a year. The problem was that during assembly I damaged the thread on the GTZ, which includes the brake pipe of the main diagonal. I compensated for the lack of threads with various hoses and adapters, but all the same, the whole thing began to tick, pumping the system became a fun game "Hold the pump" =).
And everything would be fine, the last adapter was very high quality and worthy made, everything was perfectly pumped and did not tick anywhere, but as they say - "Something went smoothly, Zapadlo came by itself."
A couple of months ago, I began to notice that when you stand at a traffic light or in a traffic jam, and the pedal gradually begins to sink, and the car rolls forward without asking anyone (automatic transmission). And until you squeeze the pedal all the way to the floor, and sometimes helping with the handbrake, it will not stop, and in fact often the priests are more expensive in front. Fearfully.
I thought, decided and came to the conclusion that he began to skip the GTZ.
I hit the search again, and quite by accident in Yekaterinburg through the Internet I came across a private shop, which was from the analysis of the GTZ from Toyota Corsa in a 4 * body. I signed off, checked the sizes, everything converged (the cars are essentially single-base, I doubted because of the difference in generations). Ordered. It has come. Again, with dances and a tambourine, he pulled out a Nissan vacuum, inserted a newfound unit without any problems, pumped the brakes for 20 rounds and Hallelujah! She slows down again!
11/5/10: I finally replaced the front brake discs to the heap (When I bought the car, they said 70% wear, such as enough for one summer ... almost 3 years dashed off, they are foil =))
I put one from a starlet 92 in another from Corolla 2 95 onwards Wear is minimal, as if they were not braked at all. We got up like relatives, but here it is a bit smaller in diameter, because it is equipped with weaker engines. I had to change with calipers.
Speaking of calipers and the financial side of the issue — 2 hub assembly with calipers and brake discs without wear cost 1300r including! packaging and shipping! from Novosibirsk (naked price 140 rubles for the right and 540 for the left)
The wing was not mine, the owner sold it, I had no money at that time.
The wing began to work just about 120 km / h. I determined it by the characteristic buzz in the region of 115-120 km / h (then the sound disappeared).
It stopped throwing from oncoming trucks on the highway even at 160-170 km / h (the racks are dead, so it was chatting hoo), in general, I felt that I was driving much more confidently
where did the wing go? how does it hold the road after 120 or did it not scorch like that on the snow?
