Thresholds — Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2000

Finally got around to Selick — and managed to finish with thresholds … The following steps were taken:
1. NONAME thresholds were made and sawn

2. the upper part is thrown away, and the lower part is spliced with stock thresholds (because it is VERY dreary to stir up fasteners on these thresholds)

3. leveled with fiberglass putty

4. primed and put on the car (because the painting of the entire body kit will be done after the completion of work with the rear bumper, although not a fact - now I am solving the issue of expanding the car)

We are waiting for the continuation of the story and comment =)

That's right - the thresholds are plastic, but spliced with fiberglass. Before gluing, I carefully sanded both surfaces with large sandpaper + they were additionally connected with self-tapping screws. Yuzal them for about half a year, no cracks appeared. There was even a good crash test of the threshold on the curb (not a specialist, of course) — to my surprise, they withstood it, no cracks appeared)

good job and thresholds do not resonate with the exterior, cool and well done!
plastic thresholds, but spliced with fiberglass? How does such a "neighborhood" tolerate vibrations, will it not crack, will it not disperse?
