continuation of repairs - Toyota Curren, 2.0 liter, 1996

   Toyota Curren 20 1996

Weekly report.
Ripened to change the oil … I went to the store and got 6000 oil in the box and engine, head gasket, filters. I changed the oil that night. It's good that I took a set of hexagons with me, otherwise there is a drain with a hexagon on the box. The time is 9 pm, and it’s dark … the flashlight is driving)
I went the next day to the “Volgo-service” to make the collapse of the 1600r … at the same time they leveled the steering wheel for me — now it turns in different directions the same way :))) It remains to put the steering wheel exactly. Drove to an electrician — diagnosed 500r … said throttle wash. In the evening I removed the throttle, washed it. I decided to remove the nozzles too ... I took it to the service, washed it, sprayed normally, collected everything ... idle 2000, antifreeze siphon from the radiator cap, time is 12 at night, spat went home ...
Sutra started warmed … stinks of benzene … opened the hood, with nozzles gushing. I drowned it out, went to work on foot :( In the evening I took off the nozzles again, a small ring broke on one :( I called the guys and went to ride all over the tagil ... They barely found him at half past eight in the mechanics at the industrial for 100r 0_o well, figs with them ... I put it on. It doesn't run! :)
A few days later, I got tired of high idling speeds, and the fuel filters were lying, gathering dust - I went to the garage.
I took off the seats, could not unscrew the tube from the fuel pump, spat, it was useful to change the fine cleaning. The key for 14 "bison" plucked nafig ( okay, I found a Soviet one at my neighbor's)... I unscrewed the old one and put a new one in. At the same time, I dismantled the xx sensor and cleaned everything there.
Generally collected everything — idle ideal and the machine has become noticeably frisky.
I rearranged the steering wheel, now it stands as it should :) There was no puller :( At first I tried to tear it off manually, then I found a couple of holes with a rail, I thought that I needed a puller ... I found a couple of bolts a couple of pieces of iron and voila the steering wheel fell off :)))
To be continued ...

Listen, tell me how the steering wheel was shot. There, it seems, on the sides, two bolts with an asterisk unscrewed them or what?

Sideways 2 hatches pulled off. There are 2 cunning cross bolts (curved washer) with a cunning plastic ... you unscrew the bolt, then bend the plastic pins with two small screwdrivers and pull out the bolt (the main thing is not to break the plastic :) Everything is a pillow in your hands. The head at 17 or 19 unscrews the nut and leaves it for 3-4 turns (as convenient) ... The most interesting thing begins, the steering wheel just does not pull off, you need a puller. I took two long bolts, two heads, an extension from the heads, a loop from the rear seats (seen in the last photo :)))) fixed it, twisted it and squeezed out the steering wheel ...

Thank you, I will try. I have a problem with the sound signal, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, I came to the conclusion that the whole problem is in the steering wheel in the contacts, that’s all I think about how to get to it

you pull off the pillow and look at the contacts, the photo shows the white plug dangling on the right, the contact on the bibikalka :)

do you have an air bag? I don’t even know if I have it or not, probably I still don’t.
And why did you take the floor of the cabin apart to change the filter in the tank? Oh, I just lifted the seat a little, put it on my shoulder and quickly spun it around. Well, of course I’m lying, it wasn’t me who did it, but in the service :D but that’s not the point)

Air running foamed both :), but I think to put the driver's. Took it apart to change the filter.
At first, I also lifted the seat (I couldn’t take it off) it’s not very convenient, just pull it in the attachment points with all the dope to the top left and right and it’s removed :) I couldn’t unscrew the highway while I drive without seats, I need to get to the service.
The third photo from the bottom is to hold the seat fasteners, pull them off for 5 minutes, unscrewed 10 screws and pulled it off :)

By the way, to remove the rear trim where the speakers are, do you need to remove the rear seats? I tried to take it off for interest, it doesn’t come out, I twisted it back

Yes :) Damn it got cold, the garage would be warm. Ehh

s
somebody 26.01.22

Does that mean the seats need to be removed?

s
somebody 26.01.22

and the service is warm =)

And what do we do with them terrible? We keep it in working condition no more.
These are the same machines as everyone else and if you have a brain they can be repaired;) Have you
been in stores for a long time? We do not put shit :)

Excuse me, of course, for interfering… But it’s just crazy…
After reading the bortoviki, I’m horrified by what you are doing with the machines… It’s hardly possible to repair them “on the knee”… And where do such sums come from for consumables?

I drive very calmly, the automatic is conducive to this. The car is ordinary, because. racing cars are transported in trailers and driven exclusively on race tracks. Compared to the previous car, it is more dynamic due to higher power and lower weight.
I repeat that these machines, purely from a technical point of view, are not fundamentally different from the rest. (PS If I have an engineering education)
As for the brain, I didn’t say that;)
Maybe I bought it in an expensive store, but it’s more likely out of inexperience ownership of a foreign car.

It’s very strange, but what are you, that your “brother” is a Reaktiv carreshka, you think that you really have racing cars ... And several months of owning such devices does not mean anything ... Here are two or three years old, and then we can talk about anything then)

Maintaining and making such a machine are two different things)

Do you think I have no brain? )

Hmm, in stores then? Yes, like all car owners, I just know the price range))
