Epic with a frame :) — logbook Toyota Yaris 2003

I decided to change the music - I bought acoustics, a tape recorder and a frame in order to put it on. The frame is not original, like this. Price $45.

Looking at the photo, it seems that it is normal, but for some reason without an ashtray, although according to the factory there is an ashtray under the pocket on the left, and a cigarette lighter on the right. Well, I think I'll manage or figure something out.
Installed … mafon top, bottom pocket. The tape recorder became perfect, put a frame on it, which comes with the kit. Drilled a hole in the pocket in order to bring out the flash drive. Everything seems to be great, BUT: 1. The frame does not fit with the torpedo - the gap is about 1 cm, that is, it is recessed inside 2. The frame is made of a different material with a different texture, not the same as the torpedo 3. The frame is light gray, the torpedo is dark gray 4 .There is no ashtray in it. From the first day, when the music was installed, I did not like the overall look ... Unfortunately, there are no pictures of how it looked ...
I went to a Toyota store and found out that there is an original frame that fits perfectly with a torpedo, of the same color and with the same texture, with an ashtray and a cigarette lighter! Spared no money — ordered! Price $75. Wait 2 weeks. Temporarily used a cup from McDonald's as an ashtray! :) I'm not the first, because in the Grand Vitara the native ashtray was very small and for a long time it was replaced by a glass of latte! :)

Waited! The frame has arrived! Hooray! Picked up and went to put! The original frame is sold without cigarette lighter, ashtray and pocket. I did not order because I have everything.
Established ... result: 1. Not perfect, but still the frame fits with the torpedo 2. It is the same color and with the same texture 3. There is an ashtray! BUT - there are huge gaps on the sides and the frame of the tape recorder does not fit on it! And this is the original Toyota frame! Why can't you make exactly 2Din?
In the end, the view turned out even worse than it was with the NOT original frame ...

Fortunately, Seryozha ( cuda ), who actually installed the whole thing, promised to help and make plugs! So I hope the frame with the tape recorder will still have a decent appearance ...
