White-white! — Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2001
the time has come to decide. what to do outside. in search of the whitest paint, we climbed a bunch of shops, looked at a bunch of cars, and came to the conclusion that one of the whitest colors is on Opels.
But then the budget intervened. he came and said - there is not enough money, do what you want.
It is no coincidence that the eye fell on vinyl films. With it, we seem to fit into the budget. A friend said that the white film is still whiter than any paint. Well, we decided to check
Since the body is in very good condition, there is no need to paint, only chips and a few dents, we decided to try to paste over.
To begin with, we took 2 meters of glossy white film, and away we go… two front fenders, one door, handles, mirrors…
It turned out that the film is actually whiter than any paint, they specially drove around the city with a piece and applied it to all white cars)))
tomorrow photo report on pasting handles and mirrors
Issue price: 1 300 ₽nope, no experience. the process is not particularly tricky, only you need at least 4 hands, and preferably 6.
Not a frail piece that will work! Is the process difficult? Have you had similar experience before? Did you tint the windows?
of course yourself))) Even at the beginning of the whole journey, I said that, if possible, everything is done with my own hands.
pasting — the first experience.
rear fender with pillar one piece
Did you glue it yourself? How will the rear fender and racks be glued? with joints or one big piece?
Well done yourself!
That's just a black car - a white film, the slightest scratch or stone and it will be like an eyesore = ((
was a sad experience!
Fortunately, there is no such defect on the Selick))) there are stops on the door and on the body.

yeah) I want to try to get rid of the back door disease. When the glass gum rubs the paint to the metal and rust appears there accordingly) the gum has already eaten the varnish coating)
some people and even automakers stick a piece of tape on this place - then the paint does not rub off

Great ! It is necessary to somehow peep how it is done)) I have plans for covering complex surfaces with a film))
around 12-13 like. They didn’t take it all at once, but in parts, so I can’t say for sure.

KPMF 88000 series, white gloss.
Oh damn, the most important thing is how many running meters did it take you?
as a result, we get 8-9 thousand films for the whole car. The color is said to not change over time. if any part was badly scratched - removed and re-glued, 500-1000 rubles and a couple of hours of time.
Here is the trend. and how much does it go for the whole car I wonder? and what will happen to the color in a year or two is also very curious
I have already written repeatedly that my wife and I did not really like matte. markers are different for everyone
Try it, it's interesting, and if it doesn't work out, you can always return everything back
Yes, Artem, he did a good job - now I think now, he can partially change his color due to the film;)
there are no problems in operation. problem areas were bumpers. the front broken, with cracks, began to gradually diverge, respectively, and the film too. slightly peeled from below in the rear arches, it was glued there not very well. but if the film is pasted with high quality, the edges are well sealed, then there should not be any special problems.
I myself at the moment consider the film only as a temporary option, if there is no money for normal painting (as in my case).
Tell me your impressions of the operation of the film, the time has already passed not sickly from the moment of the constriction, maybe there are some wishes for the film. Interested in how it works in general.
