Interior assembly (Part 1) — logbook Toyota Mark II 1993

To begin with, the markoobrazny in 90-100 bodies have one sore spot. This is the junction of the tunnel with the rear of the body under the rear seat. see photo

These are already cleaned cracks for welding ...
In general, this happens due to heavy loads on the body, for example, during drifting ...

Here's how I dealt with it:
I welded the first plate on top

  1 Toyota Mark II 25 1993 1 Toyota Mark II 25 1993

welded the second plate on the side, thereby increasing the rigidity of this section of the body.
BUT! you can’t weld with a continuous seam, otherwise it may burst later, you need to collect it into points and along the contour with short seams, as in the photo

Then I primed the whole thing so that there was no corrosion.

Well, then the assembly of the cabin:
Taped the floor with Shumkov

Installed floor carpet

Installed seats bought last summer

I screwed the belts, collected a part of the plastic, etc. little things

During the accident broke the front panel (torpedo). I have been looking for the same blue panel for a long time. Found in St. Petersburg, ordered from there, sent to me. But on the way, the transport company "Gruzovozoff" ruined it, breaking it even more than its own in an accident ...
Then I bought it already in Novosibirsk, like a whole one, but black, so that I could put it over tightening it ... I decided to try it on and saw something that I didn’t see when buying, it has almost all the fasteners broken off, although visually it is whole ...

After a long time of searching, she was found!

Is there really no way to restore the fasteners?
I’m shocked about the floor tunnel, I need to look at myself

it won’t work, there’s anti-gravity down there ...

And you are not afraid that corrosion can go under the plate, on your native metal. Kinda risky...

It's great that the ice has broken, it's very interesting to watch the recovery. Good luck with the panel!

Well, in principle, yes, but if you carefully paint?

R
RPoison 27.01.22

because I originally had a blue interior, if you take black, then you need to take all the door trim, carpet and all internal plastic to the heap

Hmm, with an ambush panel (Why exactly blue? Take the usual, brown or black even better, that is, they are available

With a split horn - this is because of the SRS airbag

Look at my photos, there is a restyled steering wheel, with a separate push-button horn. This one will be for you - the very thing. Three-spoke is certainly good, but that one will be better)

93 - This is a 4WD and the steering wheel is the same ... but the tourer in the 100th after the restyling has a three-spoke!
But anyway, I won’t put either one or the other here, since I’ll buy a smaller sports one so that I don’t collect the armrests with my elbows during intensive taxiing

Oh, by the way, do not forget to change the steering wheel to a restyled one from the 93rd brand)

since 1994

Damn, I actually thought that the brands of the 90s all come with SRS (

It turns out great! Good luck to you!

thanks for the info!

the rear one is like a native one, the front ones have different installation guides, either you need to drill holes in the body on the seat mounts (as I did), or cut off the guides from the seats

r
rv-s 27.01.22

do the seats fit ok?

R
RPoison 27.01.22

I already thought, but I need a panel at least for trying on

Roma, hello!
maybe put a panel from the 100th body?

R
RPoison 27.01.22

well, I saw a couple of pictures with them installed, but I didn’t see any installation reports ... and it’s somehow tight with the panels, contractors don’t carry them, as well as salons in general, and the disassemblers most often have a khan!

J
John-112 27.01.22

Isn't it already in Novosib that there are no panels on the disassembly :)
PS: they put the yaps, it seems they don’t have any problems, the bodies are by and large the same.

And the body color turned out to be quite interesting, I wish you to show it as soon as possible! =)

I don't remember - 5 pieces

k
kamfmagie 27.01.22

How many sheets of vibrik did it take for the floor?

R
RPoison 27.01.22

just from driving, from driving sideways, from driving on a rigid suspension
, they were before the accident, they are 80% brand-like, which I call for service

P
Pavlik Chaser 27.01.22

and the cracks after the accident did not appear well, or because of the driving it happens even simply? (

and is it really badass?

I now found a crack right on the tunnel itself in the middle of a centimeter 2.5 (

Did you cut the bodywork too?
