Production of podiums. Part 2. — Toyota Carina, 2.0 liter, 1996
So let's continue...
We will need:
- Scotch tape is simple;
- Double-sided tape;
— Again suspensions, self-tapping screws;
- A piece of mesh;
- Mounting foam;
- Solid oil or other lubricant;
- Screwdriver, wrench for 10, scissors for metal.
We glue the door with adhesive tape and fasten the podium.
We put the skin, check it does not interfere with anything.
We take scraps of plywood, wrap it with tape and glue it on 2-sided tape.
We attach suspensions to the outer ring, having previously cut them to length.
We apply the ring and fix it again, on a 2-sided tape.
We fasten the ring to the casing.
Let's take the cover off and here's what we've got.
We reinforce the sidewall with a mesh so that the foam does not roll
We take grease and generously coat the surface
We put the cover in place.
Foaming.
We wait until it dries, remove the casing and see that nothing has stuck. Practically)
Inside view.
We apply another layer of foam, not a big one. There is too much in the photo, then I had to cut off most of it.
To be continued AS ALWAYS…
