Rake on the back. — Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2001
Teammates asked me to make a thing - fins on the back cover, right after the door.
I thought for a long time how to do it better and easier, in the end I took foamed plastic, cut it out, glued it, puttied it, primed it ... then the guys painted and installed it)))
glue - phenolic. technology is used by advertisers.
the most dreary thing is to adjust each fin in place, and then putty all the sharp corners.
pictures of the finished can be seen here:

What is foam plastic? Where is it applied?
I don’t know for sure, but advertisers often use it ... I took it from offices that sell advertising materials. they have all sorts of films, neon, plastics there.
I support the question, but that's where it doesn't care =), I'm more interested in where to get it ?!
From experience I know PVC is an excellent material, it is a pleasure to work with it. I saw this "comb" before, I knew that it was handmade, but I did not know how and what it was made of, now it's clear. Everything is ingeniously simple. Super!
it turned out great, I’ll keep it in mind, I wanted to make a visor for myself, well, now I can make fins right away)
yes, a little warmed up around the edges, otherwise the plastic is elastic, fits well)
Krutyak! And I thought that you can buy such!) And how did you bend the very platform that is on the glass? Did you heat up?
It looks beautiful ... Is the meaning of this device only Aesthetic or is there a parish? (Moral arrival is clear that received =)))
such plastic was often taken in advertising agencies 3mm and 5mm gave the peasants 500 rubles to us through the back door 1m2 of such plastic))) the second option is to buy it in companies that deal with stretch ceilings. the peculiarity of this plastic is easy to cut with a clerical knife but be afraid of severe frosts ((((
