New grille — logbook Toyota RAV4 1998
I decided once there are angel eyes, then the nostrils should be, not the gills, but the nostrils (radiator grill).
I sat down and thought about how to do it :-|
1. I bought the cheapest grating for rafik
2. I bought mounting foam
And a whole saga began with the manufacture of the lattice.
I carefully removed almost all the plastic parts from the rim of the grille, leaving only the fasteners, it all lasted about 3 days, because some guests or work interfered all the time.
Then he took it and filled it all with foam, dried it for another 2 days, then carefully, if it can be called neat, cut off everything that was not needed, and began to look for a BMW grille that would fit into mine, but alas, I didn’t find it, or it’s just bad searched.
I already decided that nothing would work, but I was cheered up by the words of my wife and again rushed into battle. I cut out an approximate blank of the nostrils from cardboard, it turned out not bad at all, I circled it on my poor foamed guinea pig and cut it out, it turned out exactly as it seemed to me, BUT then my wife came and said that everything was crooked and not even, well, I cut it, now it’s not even Exactly, everything is fucked up.
I went to the store and bought
3. fiberglass and epoxy
4. putty
I came home and started to stink with the whole thing, mmmmm ... like in a molar ...
in general, I glued everything that I cut and foamed with fiberglass, after drying I puttied it! now every evening I align and try to bring out even simutric forms ... what the hell is this to me ... but myself ... nonsense ...
the most difficult thing is to bring out the desired shape of the nostrils, this is the biggest problem ...
Wish me luck.
