Climate (repainted black) — logbook Toyota Camry 2008
I thought for a long time what to do with the climate, blue with silver buttons, it does not fit into my new design. There were thoughts of toning the glass and even painting it over, but then I came across one kamrivod, so I stole the idea from him (Thanks to Vadimus www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota...camry/camry_xv40/vadimus/ ), though he did it completely silver, and I decided to make black.
Well, the climate is sorted out elementarily, no problems arose. Can of paint 5 minutes of work and the blue panel turns black. There is only one problem - the buttons are not practical to paint, after a month they will peel off, but leaving silver ones is not an option. The problem was solved by itself, I rubbed them a little with solvent and ... Oops! it turned out that their native color is glossy black (and this is not a base, but a really black glossy paint). Next, I still want to tint the glass a little so that the light edging around the buttons disappears.
Now it remains to buy a transition frame for a 2 Din radio and drag it with carbon fiber. But this is a little later.
For those who will do the same - do not repeat my mistake, the top layer (silver) must be removed from the knob (with the inscription DUAL) very carefully, then the inscription will remain on a black background, you overdo it a little and that's it, the button is completely transparent.
