Air conditioner radiator replacement — logbook Toyota Corolla 2001

    Toyota Corolla 15 2001

Yesterday I parked in the yard and sat on a bench in front of the car. Inspecting the car with a glance, I noticed that something was wrong between the air intakes in the bumper. I came up to take a closer look and was horrified - the tubes of the air conditioner radiator were moved apart by 4-5 cm, and several tubes located above this hole were bent forward by 1 cm. Thank God that the radiator was not damaged. Turning on the air conditioner, I realized that there was no freon in the system (I had not turned on the air conditioner before, since I drive relatively recently). I found a new radiator (Chinese) in the store for 3500 rubles, I didn’t give it away for a hundred, I decided to change it myself. It turned out that there is nothing difficult in this if there is a hole and the skill of working with a wrench. The only problem was when installing the lower radiator cushions in place, but it was also solved within 15 minutes by removing the cushions from the radiator. First, I installed the pillows in the mounts in the body, then inserted the top of the radiator into place, then, using two screwdrivers, squeezed the bottom pillows and inserted them into the radiator. After that, I connected the tubes and went to fill the freon into the system. This operation cost me 900 rubles. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera with me, so I can’t post a photo report of the radiator replacement. the old radiator is in the garage (I will post a photo of it later).

Issue price: 4 400 ₽

it's ok to break it! Did you run it with oil?

Run by a friend who does this. I did not watch the refueling process =)
