Lubrication, painting. — Toyota Corona, 1.8 liter, 1990
Generally tired of my battered and scratched center insert and insert around the instrument panel. Yes, and there was nothing special to do, so it was decided to paint)
Balon black glossy paint and acrylic lacquer were bought.
Everything was carefully dismantled.
First, they cleaned it with such a coarse enough sandpaper, then with a very fine one. Washed everything with fairies, dried with a hair dryer. put and began to paint carefully, applied 5 layers, left to dry in the garage.
In the photo from the phone, the feeling is that it is painted terribly, but I don’t know why it was transmitted like that, in fact, everything turned out quite well.
The next day, when everything was dry, they varnished it, also in five layers. left to dry.
While the panels were drying, we decided to lubricate the glass lifts and at the same time see what would hold it together in the driver's door. They disassembled, studied the mechanism)) they greased what creaked in the driver's door, they did not understand, but the creak was gone, you can see the glass lifts and creaked))
Now the glass is easily raised and lowered, which pleases. Also, after these manipulations, the driver's door became much smoother and easier to close))
While everything was done, and the varnish was already dry, everything was carefully installed, polished, everything shines like new :)
As always, there was no normal camera to show the result, well, then I can take a picture and add it.
Issue price: 304 ₽ Mileage: 232 071 kmwhere in 5 layers do you go crazy? and it’s better not to wash with the feri, but to degrease it with a solution, since any dirt and grease stains in the pores of the feri plastic are not washed out!
Well, I don’t know, it’s a lot! It’s better to have more polish like a cat’s! It’s better to have a couple than 10
I see you couldn’t remove the same clock? I only succeeded once, but it didn’t work on the second!)
xs, it even turned out that I overdid it a little and it’s already clear that it’s superfluous, so 5 small layers of norms have risen and varnish is also a little neat in 5 layers ...))
Yes, everything is fine with a chip, just unscrew the clock from the panel, so first I took out the chip , removed the panel, thought that it was easier to unscrew the clock than to close it up, twisted it, and attached it back to hang)
