SWAP 4A-GE — Day one (09-10-2010) — logbook Toyota Carina E 1992

Gorgeous Saturday morning, sunny though a bit chilly. It's already noon, but Friday ended up washing the apartment with friends, so it's not all bad yet. A quick marafet through the garage, and we drive the car.
They removed the hood, having previously unhooked the washer hose, ... and everything in this rhythm, gradually gaining momentum so as not to break anything superfluous.
At first, they wanted to remove the engine separately from the box, but Ilyukha (who came to visit, already having experience in removing the engine from his Toyota Carina-E GTi car) suggested that you guys should take off the box along with the box. It’s good that he suggested otherwise, we hung there for a long time, looking ahead, I’ll say that the box was barely removed already outside the engine compartment). They lifted the car, removed the wheels, put it on stops in the form of bricks and hemp. The hub nuts for 30 turned away with a wrench with a welded pipe from the guys from the car service next door. The drive was removed, but that’s not the task, only then the same Ilya said: “usually when they make themselves, they put marks when removing the tripod, so that later they can assemble everything the same way” Well, we have become even smarter))) We roll up the goose, we tighten the engine and twist the supports, the left support had to be unscrewed both from the body and from the box itself, it turned out more convenient, the right one was unscrewed from the body. So a couple of minutes and the engine is already over the car, at 17-30 hours We did it relaxed, enjoying every moment. A smoke break and back to work, remove the rail and carry out a preliminary defecation. At this stage, no difficulties arose, surprisingly most of the bolts were unscrewed just fine, one bolt only broke, the one that holds the clutch slave cylinder. Photos of the process were taken, I'll post later the one holding the clutch slave cylinder. Photos of the process were taken, I'll post later the one holding the clutch slave cylinder.
