Started up. - Toyota Corolla, 1.5L, 1998
Tonight the temperature was below -20 and I really thought that my battery would not be able to crank the starter in the morning. But, as it turned out, low-capacity (40 Ah), but fresh, it started to twist quite well.
The car started up well, if not half a turn, then with a turnover for sure :)
But it started up somehow strange.
First, I set 680 rpm (I looked at the trip computer, there was no tachometer).
A second later she sneezed and set 1100.
A second later she sneezed again and set 1300 warming up ones :)
After that, the cabin smelled a little (2-3 minutes) of burning.
So I'm thinking - could the ignition coil stink or is it something else?
But is it harmful to keep the key in the extreme position for a long time to wait until it starts? * this is not about me, I start from the keychain) *
At -22 revolutions it was exactly 4, then a wild vibration a little less than a second, revolutions around 800, apparently not everywhere ignited, then abruptly to warming up 2200 :)
It smelled like burnt wiring, but I couldn't guess the smell.
Appeared when the car "sneezed" and disappeared a minute later - weathered.
