Tidy. Stage 3. Substrate. Manufacturing. — Toyota Paseo, 1.5 liter, 1999
I wrote everything, added the last photo, and after an hour and a half of description, the light blinked ... And where do I get the patience to write all over again?
So, the manufacture of the substrate.
I stopped at manufacturing.
There were many options:
1) Printing on paper with a laser printer
2) Printing on paper with an inkjet printer
3) Printing on a plotter
4) Printing on transparent film (like a menu from a restaurant or like on diplomas)
5) Cutting from a film on a cutter
I have tried all options.
1) Fast, no preparation required. The quality is average (dots and stripes of toner are visible) The scales are translucent. Not good
2) Fast, no preparation required. Good quality. Illuminated scales. Not good
3) Here, on the contrary, nothing showed through on the film, although it suited everyone ...
4) Quickly, no preparation is required. The quality is average (dots and stripes of toner are visible) The scales are VERY strong. Requires a white backing. no good
So I came to the last option, which was buried from the very beginning ...
The advertisers said that the elements are very small and the cutter simply will not take them.
After replacing the knife (5 years of perfect work!) I got a chance.
Difficulties began immediately. The cutter does not print or draw, it just cuts lines, so I had to translate all the letters and small elements into simple lines, curves.
In total, at least 3 meters of film were damaged, and 3 days of work ...
The project was redone 8 times (fonts, distances, outlines) until I came to the perfect cut.
I spent 1 day cutting out the red elements, taking out the excess and pasting the red elements:
(my fat fingers are clearly visible =)
Then all this splendor migrated to transparent plexiglass 1 mm thick.
The next denb was spent adjusting to factory sizes, drilling holes in the Plexiglas. Accuracy was important.
After that, the whole mess moved home and the production of a white translucent substrate from an ordinary A4 sheet began.
Thanks to the advertisers for the extra-thin 2-sided film tape, it was they who fixed this whole thing.
Everything. pads are ready. Fully. Only now I begin to understand why UNITS make them on their own.
But I liked it! I will be happy to advise and help in the manufacture. Contact.

oo. at least a knowledgeable person. As I understand it, did you print the drawing on the film or did you cut it out on the plotter? and pasted on the organka 1mm. right?
Well, the black one won’t fade =)
Well, I tell everyone that it will go 300 =)
As for the paper, yes, it’s already evaporated me to do it ... I haven’t installed it
yet, I just finished with the substrate, now soldering the LED strips ...
Cool) Hmm, I would redo the white one) by the way, but it seems that a4 paper tends to fade and turn yellow (
Smiled 300 after 180))
Throw off a photo of how it looks in the cabin
I can imagine how much time was spent on it, cool! I would like to see it with backlight
good luck) I'll brag about what I have done www.drive2.ru/cars/rover/…/288230376151793591/#post
Here! That's what I wanted to see how they do it! Dude, kudos to you for your hard work! Very very cool!
Thank you so much ... maybe I’m not so bad ... they didn’t promote it, they just looked at the eye 0_o
Hmmm…if not difficult)) [email protected] Thank you in advance!
I was simply offered to do a stupid LED strip on the sides because the tidy is supposedly iron and no one touched it. Like denso iron and nothing to do with it
And who said that it is difficult to remake? I have sketches, I can send them. all in all it's easy
I have it a little different ((((((((no tachometer, AT. On the left is a box and gasoline, and on the right is the temperature, in the middle is a speedometer, I'm afraid it won't work
As soon as I get back from vacation, I will definitely send it. Be patient for a bit. Thank you
Gorgeous in general) Can I have a sketch too? [email protected]
I want to play with color and fonts.
You will also have to redo the sketch, on the tachometer up to 8, well, automatic
