started up - Toyota Solara, 2.4 liter, 2003
The battery was charged for a day, put it in place during the day, at first I just put on the clamps to check. I insert the key, turn it - the panel lights up, it's already good. I turn on the ignition — it twitches and everything goes out. Here's a pancake ... All the same, change the battery?
Last try, only this time I screwed the clamps on properly. I turn the key. Eeeee, got it on!
It was found out why he was discharged. Stupidity: It turned out that the brother left the key turned to "ACC" instead of "LOCK". In this position, the engine is off, but the radio and other "accessories" draw current. I also asked - is it normal that the clock remains on?, And he - "don't worry, the clock won't eat the battery." Relying too much on his experience.
In general, if nothing helps, read the instructions. By the way, I was looking for a manual for Solara in electronic form. They send it to ebay for a fee. It was also found for free on this site, docks in the form of pdf for all Toyota models of any year:

All you need is a free registration with the VIN code. For my Solara 2003, I uploaded it here, if anyone needs it:

ps We went to the hypermarket in the evening, returned back along the ring road and decided to check the car at speed, accelerated to 150-160. It's going well, but the cabin is still getting noisy. But what touched me was the way everyone gave way to my Solara, moving out of the left lane to the side. )
