Evrosvet: experiment — logbook Toyota RAV4 2008

I have such a habit - to drive with the low beam headlights always on. Day and night, rain or shine, I always drive with headlights on. I get in the car - turn on the headlights, get out of the car - turn it off. For a year and a half already just got used to it. But on my car there is such a function as "AUTO" - a mode that itself determines whether it is day or night and turns on the headlights. The advantage of this mode is that if you get out of the car, you do not need to turn off anything, the headlights go out by themselves. The downside is that the mode works accordingly only in the dark. It seemed to me a convenient function, so to speak, to automatically turn off the headlights, and I decided to play a little.

I cut out "round pieces" the size of a coin "1 ruble" from a piece of oracal.

And pasted them on the light detection sensors.

Because everything was done in a hurry, it turned out carelessly and ugly, but in my case the main thing was to check how it would work. Everything works great, shines day and night. But as always there is one "BUT", I use auto start, both in winter and summer, and the headlights in the "auto" mode do not go out when the engine stalls, but only when you open and close the door and in order to somehow extend the life of your xenon headlights, to my great regret, I decided to abandon the venture with Eurolight. Perhaps, to whom this experiment is useful, I will only be glad.

I think it's real :) But it will probably conflict with everything that is already there :)

thanks!

I dream of autorun… But at the same time I don’t want to shoot everything that I have, but just add autorun… It’s unrealistic, I think…

That's why I think this feature is useless. I also turn it on/off manually.

What autorun do you have? Does it turn on with the key fob?

It turns out that you carry a signaling remote control + a chip key in your pocket? And you set the signaling from 0, in the standard, if I'm not mistaken, the chip key (open-close) is this not a signal?)

In photo No. 2, the right one is a light sensor, the left one is a plug ...
On my car, I solved this issue much easier, I just took a stinker or a small fun toy and covered the sensor.
good luck on the road
