Replacement pads - Toyota Avensis, 1.8L, 2006
My heart and ears could not stand the grinding that was emitted by the rear brake pads. At first, it was a squeak, which, when the door was wet, turned into a grinding noise. I wanted to reach THAT (I have it after 2500 km), but I couldn't.
I went to the OD in order to diagnose the rear brake pads.
I arrived, the car was taken away, they said to wait about
20 minutes later (it is strange that without delay) a girl from the service came up to me along with a service station worker, and said that dirt got into the pads and they just need to be sanded. Well, I agreed, just not to hear this grinding.
After 10 minutes, the mechanic returned, already with my pads (I hope that with mine) shows dirt, and they tell me that the wear has already passed the minimum zone, it would be better to change. I clarified the price of the question, and agreed.
Later I was told that the disc had already started to scratch, but it is better to change it after the wear of new pads, thousands after 30 km. The guarantee will just end.
After another half hour, everything was ready.
Price tag: 648.00 UAH. (replacement of pads, pads themselves, car wash), 84.15 USD (at the rate of 7.70).
She took the car, everything is fine, no shkrebet, no squeaks =) And I'm happy.
I am posting pictures of worn-out decks so that local experts would say if they had cheated me. Although one of the photos shows everything that remains of the shoe.
Everyone is here.
The most surviving.
This one, in my opinion, is completely affected.
She is "face to face", everything was erased. In this place, the disk probably reigned.
By the way, yesterday, my beloved, I went to the Honda service with the same problem. He has a Civic 4d `07.
The most interesting thing is that he was charged 2 times more for the same procedure. That is: UAH 1300.00; $ 168.80
A strange difference. He won't change the front ones there! =)
Hello, they are trying to dilute me with TO 45 to replace the brake discs in a circle, changed the front pads 2 times, and the rear 1 times (mileage 62 thousand). So it goes…
Yes, I went back today, opened the door and heard such a creak on the rear wheel. I could not stand it, got out of the car, looked at the disk and was stunned. It looks like a groove on the disc ... it's creepy to even imagine how the disc travels another 30 thousand km.
what pads are there ... I generally drove a BMW until my discs were worn out))) this is certainly not the right approach, but it was just that money was tight at that time)
Maybe. But somehow for a long time. Precisely you confuse nothing? ) Can drives?
Maybe quality, or maybe you drive calmer than me.
I have a mileage of 93,000, I have not changed my relatives yet.))) Probably the quality is good.)))
