Automatic transmission replacement - Toyota Mark II, 2.5 L, 1993
History means this. Somehow I decided to think of myself as a racer :) AUDI Q7 turned up, well, in general, they rushed along the country road like two morons. I put the speedometer down, and I walked around it too, he lost control of the turns :) I was happy like a child until a straight line appeared, well, you understand. So, after the fun pokatushek, a whistle appeared in the automatic transmission as from a turbine, the rear one began to twitch. Later, it completely disappeared, and the car did not move: (the tachometer arrow only rises up to 3 thousand, and then break the floor with the gas pedal. Changed the ATF, the car seemed to go BEFORE as it should, backwards by jerks.
The problem was the solenoid. I disassembled the automatic transmission after the rear one completely disappeared and 4 disappeared. Oh, what was there, the entire control unit is clogged with clots of dextron, one solenoid does not work, the rear friction discs are worn out into the trash. I cleaned the control plate, disassembled the solenoid, did it, did not decide to assemble the friction discs to try. Goes forward perfectly, back only on a flat surface a little. I decided to look for spare parts. Having run around shops in two cities, I realized that there are no spare parts for automatic transmissions at all!
A week ago I went to disassembly, there are no suitable boxes. Either the chips do not fit, or the model is wrong. Found on one, the price is 7000 rubles. But before taking it, I decided to go see a contract with Japan. I call one company, they say there is a box for 1G-FE only from a hundred parts. We come and see the marking is the same, outwardly it seems to be the same and the issue price is the same 7000 rubles. Without hesitation, I take a contract.
I come home, throw off the old box, the torque converter. He began to put a hundred-point automatic transmission: he put the torque converter, screwed the box. The first difference was found: the automatic transmission control lever is different, I put it with my own. Problem 2: the dipstick is on the other side of the box. Since one condition of the company was that the box could not be disassembled otherwise there was no guarantee or return, it was decided to bend the probe. Everything is ready.
3 and the most difficult: the speed sensor was of a different model. We decided to twist the wiring: at first it did not work at all, and the dashboard blinked like a garland :) they say the speed sensor error. Twisted again: at a speed of 20, the speedometer shows 100 km / h.
On the native box there is a three-contact hall sensor, on the new two-contact impulse (there is a gear, when the teeth spin, they touch the sensor contact and the pulse goes to the dashboard).
Since the box was traveling both forward and backward, we decided to change the shank together with the sensor. Half an hour and you're done. Everything works perfectly. Self-diagnosis does not give errors. Oh, it's going well.
Total spent: 3 days of which one went to replace the silent blocks - the most nervous part of the work. 7000 rub. A sea of literature has been read.
The result is a lot of driving pleasure and good knowledge! Liters from economical gasoline per hundred kilometers.
The box on 1G-FE is AISIN 03-70LE, the difference in shank markings by 90 seems-30-71, by 100 like 71-30 or per revolution. There are photos, videos, I will throw them off later.
Many thanks to the TAKOMA.VL.RU store for the high-quality units.

Well, you are a cool man He changed the korobas himself! In general, it is very difficult to grunt a box on the brand Looks like you had a great desire)))))
oh well ... I killed two machine guns in a year ... drift ...
Rather a lack of mind :) I did not change the dextron after the purchase, here it is for you and please :)
Well, you are a cool man He changed the korobas himself! In general, it is very difficult to grunt a box on the brand Looks like you had a great desire)))))
Well, yes ... not everyone can repeat this with their own hands. Current here are the pictures of the process, if I had posted it, it would have been clearer)
I have the same identity as the switch starts a little bit! I need to spill oil ...
Cool, I really thought the korobas decided to put it ... how I will buy a samurai 2.5 on a stick, I will put it on a stick. Closer to the end of spring :) the car is good
Whoever wets - needs a cooler for the box for the summer. Then it takes a long time.
Urgently! I can not find where how to deal with the speed sensor? I have the same problem as here www.tourerv.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=93987 I'm thinking I can change the shank with the sensor!
I, too, how did you change and there is also trouble with the probe from the left and the sensor does not fit thanks to you if it weren’t found your BZ would give the box under the warranty!
Vais turns out that a box of 100 brands is ideal for 90? just change the shank, the selector drive and the pallet? I just have a 1g-fe engine. But as I understand the box from 1g-fe beems will not work?
Although the topic is old, I am also interested in this question, I have jzx 115 want to replace the box, but there are few boxes from jzx 115, and there are a lot of boxes from gx115, and all that is required I understand this, but put the new automatic transmission on the old bell, donut and that's it, the automatic transmission marking is the same , and it is also interesting, except for how the donuts are fastened, do they differ in characteristics?
Ears under the starter, chips, the number of solenoids, more than once I did not measure the seats on the block and whether the wetsuit fits the flywheel through the holes. Will there be time for the sake of interest, I'll see if the question is relevant? Sorry that I have been rarely so long lately.
but what is the difference in automatic transmission from brand 2.0 and 2.5?
I'm just a beginner and I don't rummage yet.)
and again the question is open: where to get the speed signal? to change the tail on the box or look for a suitable hub with ABS? confused something))) thanks in advance!
On some models, the speed is read from the ABS sensors, but not in our case. I see the solution to the problem as follows, for sure you changed the engine compartment braid + ECU replacement. There remains the wiring from the computer to the speedometer, this is a separate chip that goes under the stove and goes out in the area of the left driver's leg (it seems). Change the speedometer in any case, the question remains whether to change the under-torpedo scythe, or to throw a new (edit the old) speedometer on the pinout of the contacts on the ECU and the speedometer) take the speedometer with chips, it happens that the old ones do not fit.
good afternoon! please tell me: swap the 130th crown from 1ge to 1jz-ge vvti (from 100 brands) and the question is this: the speedometer is cabled, there is no ABS, there is no cable exit on the new box, the speed sensor is two-wire, in short, which speedometer to put and how to connect? )))
I left the pinout of the ecu block in my BZ, because I don't know how to leave it here. indicate the cherished posting)
you need to look for the dashboard, and take the signal to the speedometer from the computer, the engine control unit. At this time, your signal comes from the speed sensor, which is located on the shank of the automatic transmission - to the ecu (that is, the computer) It also controls gear changes! That is, your computer sees the speed) Only you do not see it) If you take a picture of the computer connectors, I will tell you which leg to hook the coveted wiring on)
1 in 1 problem, changed the box, the sensors did not converge. I will do as you do.
Can someone tell me how you can still understand that korobas kirdyk? I drive a Honda she has 190hp. but she goes, I think at 100hp. (of course, I'm exaggerating, maybe). I don't know the real mileage of the car, but it probably goes far beyond 200 thousand. When switching in a quiet driving mode, there are practically no complaints, but with the trigger to the floor there are not weak "kicks", especially from 2 to 3 gears, even slipping wheels (front-wheel drive) .Oil on the dipstick is closer to pink. There is a smell of burnt oil when driving "gas to the floor". And another interesting question is how much the resource of a 4-speed automatic machine usually is.
I have amerikos 2003 px2 330 tell me the marking of the box to find the same and not miscalculate because we could not look at the box itself until we took it off, I had a skiff of a hole at 200000 km, almost with a fist in it, although it did not hit anywhere! From the inside, everything scattered
Is it realistic to remove the automatic transmission selector position sensor without removing the box?
