Hood protection film - Toyota Camry, 2.4L, 2008

Hood protection film - Toyota Camry 24L 2008

Yesterday they glued me a protective film on the hood, from chips and midges. It should dry for 2 weeks, the water should evaporate. Satisfied in principle.

Well, I don’t know, they said that the stains will pass in 2 weeks, and so there are no restrictions and you can wash and all that

Which company is the film? Why does it take so long to dry? My cars dry for a maximum of a day!
I myself am engaged in this topic in Moscow!

Yes, yes, also interesting. I want one for myself. I will glue the entire skirt around the perimeter.

I do not know which company the film is. I know that there is transparent (like mine), black, and carbon look. We glued the hood completely, already bent over the edges. But still, of course, not ideal as from the factory. You know, on the rear arch near the doors are glued. that's the same. Only she is all scratched. And as if oily under the film. They told me that in two weeks it will dry out and these stains will pass. And above the washer there are five points, as if with air. They say if it doesn’t work, we’ll pierce it with a needle and everything is ok. Here I think how it will be after 2 weeks have passed. They also said that then you can polish it and all the zarapins will go away. In general, the opinion so far is that this is some kind of handicraft and not an ideal job. Let's see if my opinion changes after 2 weeks and polishing. Unsubscribe necessarily.

I also think everyone will have a question: why didn't you seal the bumper?
The answer is:
- it costs 8500 against 3300 for the hood.
-If you hook it somewhere or hit it a little, you still have to paint it and re-glue the film for
8500. -I'd better paint it for 5000 before selling it and no one will guess that it is painted because it is plastic. But the hood is immediately clear -
Well, it seems like my friend has a white Camry, under the paint after chips it seems like a black bumper, but I have a black one and I think it won't be very bad

Darova. Can you tell me the size you need for the Camry hood?

They did some kind of crap for you - this is not a protective film (a protective film costs about $ 200 per sq.m.), but a decorative one! I suppose they cut it off by hand and glued some g ****! I don't have such jambs - the film is cut by a plotter, to fit the shape of car parts (there is a special template base for almost all cars after 2000), as well as a special gluing technology.

… The record is old, but still… I don’t understand, nafig keep the shape on the hood. The principle of the sticker is all the same, as well as tinting ... Lather, smooth, and blow-dry ... in shape ...

Here in Rostov only they offer this service. It turns out a little expensive 200 bucks per meter. And how much does it get in the purchase? I think I can do it with your help in Rostov ?! How much does it take to start such an activity?

without taking into account the work of the anti-gravel machine, it comes out about 2000 per square, depending on the manufacturer and width.

Glue, just don't skimp on film

Tell me on the film, what impressions were left on the operation? The film was removed after what time, how is it removed? Are there any traces, damage? I think it's worth sticking such a film or not.

Good afternoon, I can't say anything about further operation, unfortunately. On the Camry I was dissatisfied, as the film was of poor quality. Now on BMW I pasted "TRIEMOVSKYU" chtoli. Very satisfied . She is cut out according to the pattern and she is Thick as on the rear arches you know it happens from the factory.

Hello, I see that the record is old, but I want to take an interest in the further fate of this film, has it dried out, and how did you behave in operation? most pasted confused water, and fears about paint. I would be grateful if you share your experience.
