R154 box failure. Photo. — Toyota Supra, 3.0 liter, 1996
This is how it happened. It was still summer, I took a picture just now. She cut off the 2nd gear gear, respectively, the teeth on the intermediate shaft. Synchronizers 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th seemed to be bitten by a big iron dog.
It fell apart due to the fact that the synchronizer was crookedly changed to the 4th, somehow the first gear jammed with the secondary shaft. That is, the first one, in fact, was constantly on, but turned with effort. The shaft is blue from temperature.
In the photo:
1. Intermediate shaft
2. Second gear
3. Synchronizer
4. Box in parts
5. Box body.
This one needs to be repaired with new parts. Change everything you can. All synchros, springs, bearings. Everything that does not pass according to the tolerances. There is a job for the winter)

That's what will happen for the winter
Yes, it’s not clear ... A year before that, the gear fell there ... But it was completely plastic ... Marriage, apparently ...
My gear jammed first at a speed of 120 ... It was interesting. Although the cars are from completely different classes, but it happens on nauseating cars :)
