The podium from the oil filter sent to "retirement" — Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.6 liter, 1993
Yesterday I removed the podium from under the oil filter, it is specially placed on GE versions for a convenient "approach" to the filter, because it is made at such an angle so as not to “hide†behind the regular collector. After installing the tuner collector, there was practically no distance between the filter and the pipe, as evidenced by the recess in the winding. Yes, and the temperature from the collector was directly transferred to the filter.
By the way, when I took off the podium, I easily got to the oil pressure sensor (4th men know what kind of hemorrhoids it is), which "snotty" and showed hnyu. I replaced it too.
Closer to spring, I will put a kulnik and take out the oil filter to a cooler place.
If you monitor oil temperature / pressure, did you pay attention to the presence or absence of a difference with and without a spacer?
No, I didn’t have an oil t sensor before, in fact it’s for convenience, so that it’s convenient to change the filter and no more)
yes, I used the drain from the factory spacer, I don’t twist it into the block much, but tighten it with a filter.
I threw it out too. Did you sharpen a special bolt or use a standard one? And then on the standard thread there is enough butt - just a couple of threads the filter is twisted ...
Hey! The oil pressure light sometimes flashed on a working motor, after replacing this, I did not observe this anymore.
