Do it yourself! - Lubricate the calipers and guides — logbook Toyota Corolla 2002
Recently, I noticed that the car starts off with some strange sound of "grinding pads" (reminiscent of the sound of starting off with the handbrake not lowered).
It was decided to eliminate this misunderstanding, which was done on the same evening.
IT WAS SOured GUIDES ON ONE CALIPER.
To do this, we need:
1. Special grease for calipers
(if you don’t have it, you can use SHRUS4.
Grease, lithol, etc., are not suitable for our purposes).
2. Rags, a large (not sharp) flat screwdriver,
a wheelbarrow wrench, a jack, and a good mood))
In general, the process is not difficult at all.
1. We put the car on the jack.
2. Remove the wheel
3. Unscrew the rear 4 bolts and remove the caliper.
4. We clean the parts shown in the figure with an arrow and
lubricate them with a new one.
Be careful when removing the boot, you can tear it and do not overdo it with packing grease. It is removed easily, after you pull out your finger, you need to wrinkle the boot a little with your hands and pull it out of the groove.

It is also a very important point when lubricating the piston itself. I lubed it without taking it apart.
To do this, the piston boot must be turned inside out with a non-sharp flat-bladed screwdriver. It fits the piston with a bend inward, so you need to turn it out and fill it with grease.
In the absence of a special lubricant for the suparts, I used the SHRUS4 lubricant.
I've been riding for a week - the machine whispers :)
Driving a dream has become even more pleasant.
