Getting ready for winter: new wipers - Toyota Sprinter, 1.5 liter, 1988
I felt an urgent need to change the wipers, firstly, winter is coming and the summer wipers would simply freeze, and secondly, the old wipers did not clean the glass at all and creaked terribly. I don't know when they were last changed by the previous owner, but judging by their condition, never)
I decided to buy frameless wipers, because. more convenient not to change them every season.
I have a “straight lever†mount on the wiper rocker and I was just sure that now wipers are sold only for the “lever with hook†mount, which is on most Japanese cars, so I went to auto-dismantling to look for rocker arms from newer models.
I found it from Toyota Carina and was already preparing to work with a file, but what was my surprise when, after buying the wipers, I saw that the kit included mounts for my type. (It would seem that there is no way to first buy the wipers themselves and then be puzzled by rocking chairs, as they say, you need to solve problems as they come, but I tried the opposite :))))
But everything ended well, I returned the rocking chairs from Karina for disassembly, painted mine, at the same time painted the plastic over the rods and put the whole thing on the car.
They work great, everything is very quiet, and most importantly clean)
