Clutch replacement — logbook Toyota Corolla Levin 1997

I replaced it a long time ago, but somehow my hands did not reach the drive.
All known jambs with a box began to get. It was decided to buy the originals: basket, disc and clutch release.
It was decided to do everything himself, or in person. Everyone can give a car to a service station, but you won’t gain experience from this. Fortunately, at that moment, an acquaintance with the owner of 110 Levin turned up with his garage, pit and great music (2 5-hour sets, under which all the work went).
Conclusions from the work done:
Now I know that at least 3 chips must be discarded on the box. I dropped two and the next day I drove from 0 on the speedometer :)
When we fasten the basket, you need to be extremely careful and forget about your heroic strength. Turned the screw off. Luckily I got it out with a screwdriver :)
The idea must be approached with enthusiasm and interest, and not because it is necessary. For you may not be enough for half the process (it took us 10 hours with all the little things and a leisurely pace).
If the basket is not completely (!) twisted, it is necessary to center the clutch disc. We did this with the input shaft of the gearbox. Which is quite logical :) After that, we tighten the bolts.
Bottom line: I stick speeds on the verge of clipping. This is for verification :) As it turned out, my synchros are alive and this cannot but rejoice.
There was a whistle in the clutch fork. If you press a bit even with your finger, it disappears. It got smaller over time. Sometimes it just disappears. We can get used to it ...
