Angel eyes. The history of the delivery of optics from America. — Toyota Corolla, 1.3 liter, 1992

By many requests, and frequent questions in a personal, I post information about my optics.

I looked after this type of optics long before the purchase. I often met them on tuning sites and other sites selling headlights, but the price there regularly exceeded the threshold of 12 thousand, and also delivery.
My budget did not take it out and it was decided to buy DEPO tuned headlights that cost me 3000 wooden rubles. Although they did not look bad and their turn signals are very bright, they shine ... like a complete Chinese "gamno". The only option was to embed universal bi-xenon lenses there, but at that time the hunt for the owners of kalhoz xenon flared up and somehow I refused it ...
It was decided to sell them, losing a little money.

Having read on one of the websites of corolla waters that one of the participants ordered them directly from ebay.com and the price tag was not so high with delivery, it was decided to find out more precisely and order them from there.
I climbed for a long time and was looking for HALO companies, Taiwanese ones of fairly good quality. Another interesting option caught my eye with the choice of the color of the angel eyes out of 5 possible, and I chose them.
Because I myself am not booming in English, and how all these virtual transactions with money are made and I had no idea I started looking for an intermediary company, a small overpayment, but at least some kind of guarantee.
After writing to one of the frequent people, he calculated the cost at the dollar rate, taking into account the delivery of insurance and his interest on services. Headlights at the auction itself cost 150 American presidents) The total amount was about 8,000 wooden rubles. Having met in the city, I gave him the required amount of money on receipt, after checking the identity documents) According to him, the delivery took 2-3 weeks. I was worried about the safety and integrity of the cargo, but he assured me that the Americans pack everything very well.
The most difficult thing is the waiting time)) a week ... two ... three ... there is no notification yet ... I already began to worry where my eyes had gone ((. The mediator assured me that everything was in order and the delay was due to some problems at customs and all goods were being detained. More a week and the headlights will come ...
A month has already passed and I received the cherished notice that the parcel had arrived, on a piece of paper it was written in large letters - where "USA" came from :D which caused a very big smile!
Arriving at the post office, I filled out a piece of paper and waited for my "box" with headlights to be brought to me ...
Honestly, I figured out the size of the headlights + the size of the package ... but I did not expect this ...

Now more about the headlights themselves.
With the headlights there was an instruction on how to fix it ... but due to the fact that the grille does not fit, I had to work with the edges of the grille and the mounts of the headlights themselves.

The headlights are two modular, i.e. separately near, far. base H1 in both. All bulbs were included.
The lenses shine amazingly, the low high beam does not blind the oncoming traffic and is very easy to set up. It’s more difficult to set up with a distant one, but you rarely use it and I didn’t even begin to do it right away ...

Angel eyes came standard in white. Illuminated from below by two LEDs, not very bright. During the day they are completely invisible, only as it starts to get dark.
Pro (5 color) included several sets of interchangeable LEDs in different colors, which were selected when ordering, I chose red and yellow. I need to try out red for photography, I think it will look very interesting with it, but you can’t ride like that every day)

On the left are super bright LEDs, the so-called "Daytime running lights" which should be connected to the ACC ignition, but I connected them to the dimensions. Many do not like how they shine, they say they spoil the appearance ... xs to each his own, and there is more benefit from the bottom.

Connection:
Turn signals and dimensions to connect a particular problem will not be.
In regular chips, it will be possible to connect only dipped beam using terminals. But with a distant one, you need the help of a little knowledgeable electrician. To connect this whole economy with the near-far switch, you need a separate relay, and run the relay control wire from the switch under the hood.

You can get through with them! if, for the duration of the passage, instead of bright LEDs, an ordinary overall light bulb is stuffed.

The appearance has changed a lot, these headlights made it possible to stand out among the large mass of Corollas, and in Krasnoyarsk they are still in a single copy, not everyone will decide on such tuning costs for a budget Corolla.
