Sash, you are mistaken: the diesel engine is no less "noisy", although because the compression pressure is two to three times higher. Would listen to my B engine without a muffler. It's just that petrols more often than diesels burn out fuel after the start of production and then, of course, it shoots loudly

A 100% turbine cuts everything, and the diesel is not as noisy as lighters, you can generally throw out the pipe after the resonator and there will be no problems with sound, but the gases must be removed somewhere.

Yes, turbocharged ones can be left completely without a silencer - the turbine is only easier.

That's right, I'm talking about turbocharged diesel engines, you yourself wrote everything, the turbine dampens the exhaust very well.
