Exhaust - Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2004
I installed the exhaust a long time ago, but I still can’t get a camera to shoot a video of how it sounds now! And it certainly sounds amazing! Even sometimes it seems that he overdid it a little with the sound :))) And the appearance of the car has become more sympathetic.
In general, as soon as the camera appears, I will immediately take good photos and videos.
At the same time finally changed the oil in the box and the filter. Now I can ride with peace of mind :)
+ I switched to winter tires, otherwise winter is just around the corner and sometimes it freezes very well in the morning :)
So stay tuned for updates soon :)
ps on the last photo I tried on the sensors (recently got in this form). Still wondering if it's worth it...
I did a partial replacement, and it came out almost 5 liters out of 8 (if I found this figure correctly). I didn’t want to hemorrhoid, especially since he did all this alone. If you completely merge, then of course, it will be a little more difficult and you need to do it together. And if the right amount of oil was poured, then when draining, it is desirable to drain everything into one container and measure it, so that later you know exactly how much to fill. Also, after replacing, follow the oil level for several days for the correctness of the filled amount and leaks + after a while you can check whether all the bolts are tightened (yesterday I checked, although I put the gasket on the sealant, and twisted it well enough, I found a small oil leak, I had to tighten more bolts, as were slightly loosened). It's not that hard... :)
Tell me, plz, did you change the oil in the box completely or partially? And it seems like for a complete replacement - a lot of hemorrhoids, and I don’t want to rape the torque converter once again (with a partial replacement, the oil seems to remain the same there).
Yes, I changed both gaskets (both going to the pallet and O-shaped). I did not feel any changes, the mileage is small, everything worked as it should, and it works perfectly. The main thing is timely replacement of everything necessary and then the car will serve and delight for a long time :)
I see. Thanks. Did you change the filter gasket as well?
What qualitative changes are noticeable?
I removed the rear part of the exhaust system, it includes 2 mufflers and made a straight pipe immediately after the catalysts and a direct-flow jar at the end.
But I still can’t get ready to make a video - after work it’s dark like it is ... :) in general, it’s dark :) and there are so many other things on the weekends that again I don’t have time ... I’ll have to do these.
