Crazy hands. Part III. - Toyota Caldina, 2.0L, 2000
Gradually, preparations for the summer of my girl's exterior are underway :) The
old bumper, which was already a little fed up and did not suit with certain stylistic features, was safely removed, and its place was taken by a replica bumper from Ducks-Garden.
Fitting on the car.
The front wings are at the stage of maturation. By the way, about weight. In principle, the metal fenders are not heavy, but the final weight of the future plastic ones will pleasantly surprise, they will be much lighter.
And here the matrix is already removed. the surface turned out to be smooth and even, which, in principle, is required for the production of future products :)
Also along the way I made gill matrices. I'll tell you where they go later.
And finally, a photo of a treat :) 4-piston calipers from the 32nd turbo will replace the useless two-piston stock cars.
It will look viciously, keep it on in the same spirit, as soon as my job got up, the impeller closed, and I didn't make another door: - [[[
The bumper is really super-duper, rarely on Kaldinki there are such, we have never seen one with such a model) It's bad that the number will cover half of the cooler! Maybe you should think about a folding mechanism at speed? =)
What is terrible? The Yapas drive, the Australians drive, the Americans drive - both in everyday life and in various amateur championships. There is someone like - to be afraid of wolves, not to go to the forest. IMHO when hitting 120 that metal, that plastic will not help. Carbon fiber is a major option;)
It will just be scary then to chase without iron then?
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it, although there is a way out) Carbon fiber)
In fact, the composite also dampens some of the impact. Well, then ... Then you probably know yourself - spars, amplifiers, etc. :) Ideally, you need a roll cage - I have some notes on this issue.
You can ask a question from a "vegetable"). but what about security?
If the hood and fenders are composite, what elements will be used to damp the impact in case of an accident? Pah-pah-pah! God forbid. Don't misunderstand! )
