Replacing brake cylinders and pads — logbook Toyota Carina 1986
As I already wrote, I bought a Toyota with faulty rear brakes. The reseller assured that you only need to replace the pads that are in the trunk. They were there, but from the "nine" and of course did not fit. I went to the service to friends in the literal sense, "you go a meter - you stand two", because the brake fluid left when you press the brake pedal (as it turned out later, the brake cylinders were also covered with a copper basin). In general, I stopped often to top up the brake fluid.
Oddly enough, but the front brakes were not in bad condition.
And so, the prices:
— Rear brake cylinders — 390 * 2 = 780 rubles;
- rear brake pads (set) - 1000 rubles;
- installation cost 2000 rubles.
As for the rear drums, everything is not very bad here either. First, the guys from the service "sentenced" them, because they had a working out "thanks" to the worn pads. After the consultation, it was decided to install the old drums. For information: new drums cost about 5000 each. I can’t say anything about analogues, I don’t know.
After we got to the handbrake. The cables have been lubricated and developed. The handle began to work.
