replacement of rear pads — logbook Toyota Corolla 1997

    Toyota Corolla 16 1997

squeaked, creaked… replacement of the rear pads was required… an autopsy confirms this… and a lack of a retaining bracket with a “nail” is discovered… and as always in our wretched city you will find such things in figs… everyone is sent for disassembly … and dismantling, in turn, is sent for the purchase of a brake mechanism in assembly ... well, I had to put it without a bracket ... everything seems to be fine so far ...
which is cool, there were napkins in the box with pads ... :)

You don't have to remove anything from the front to check the condition of the pads.

well, you can’t drive either ... okay, the handbrake doesn’t work, but the working brakes should be in order ... the brakes weren’t invented by cowards :)

I don’t have a rattle, but the rear wheels do not slow down, only one wheel slows down on the handbrake.

when replacing the pads, it is recommended to revise the brake mechanisms, in particular, lubricate the guides, I think to remove the excess)
