Setting up rings + making fasteners for the battery — logbook Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, 2000

Well, well, here is the long-awaited day off-Sunday ... Of course, it was supposed that there would be 4 days off and I was already making serious plans for the pradik, but you can’t argue against reality b **:(
Well, let’s start with fastening under the battery:
under the hood will be Optima 5.5L (75 a/h), there are two 400-hundredth hawkers in the cabin, it is still far from the hawkers, but the Optima is already under the hood and the standard fasteners do not fit it, because the car still moved, then as a temporary measure, the regular fasteners were a little "shamanic", so that it would somehow hold the battery:

This horror needs to be corrected! For this we need: -
a jigsaw with a metal file - an
old rusty piece of metal - a file - a vise -
a hammer - a grinder - paint

Next, drill a hole for the front bolt:

try on on the spot and mark the place where we will bend the plate:

clamp it in a vise, take a hammer and ...

Now it's up to the small thing - to bring the fasteners into a divine form :)
We go through all the corners with a file, then we take a grinder with the coarsest nozzle (60) and skin, skin ... to bare metal :)))

we paint in a glamorous red color (in the color of the pipe by the way :)) )

meanwhile, we collect a spacer (from M6 washers) under the front bolt-fastener

the paint is dry, put everything in place and admire the "glamorous" red fasteners :)))

Total cash costs: 0 rubles,
time costs: 1 hour 30 minutes (excluding the time for the paint to dry)
By the way, there are also plans for the engine compartment - put fashionable caps, hoses, multi-colored pipes, etc. - to match, so to speak :)))
Well , I spent the rest of the time setting 4 rings for the sub ... not exactly wasted, but damn it anyway: (((I can’t set these two rings in the same way, then the angle is a little wrong, then something else ... the worst thing is that the true position cases can only be seen when two speakers are installed - and in order to put them, you need to tightly fix the rings, i.e. set, put on glue, then drill in at least 4 places and then pull it off with self-tapping screws ... well, as it were, it takes enough time, plus everything and dynes are not light (15+kg)
in general, until the attempts were successful, next time I think everything will work out ...
