I welcome everyone again in my logbook. For about a month I have not written anything about the Corolla and tried not to attract attention, but I was very pleasantly surprised by your attendance during this time. In this note, I will describe observations of Corolla for 4 months (7000 km).
During the time that I was not here, there were very small changes in the king. Firstly, I again changed the radio with SoundMax
on Kenwood, and in addition they gave me a Pioneer. Although the pioneer is better in sound and costs more, and the view is more solid, Kenwood is practically new, it reads a flash drive and the sound after the Chinese SoundMax is more than fine with me.
The final Kenwood looks modest, but personally I like it more than a creation that resembles a piece of mindless plastic.
Let's go further. Recently drove a friend Nissan Cefiro, from which I got the floor mats. Let them differ in color and labels, but in my Korollka there were initially elastic bands. Now, when you get into the car, it seems that you are flopping into your favorite home chair in front of the TV. Still, the carpets look somehow at home.
For the past month, it has been constantly raining in Astrakhan, the car is under a triple layer of dirt, and therefore the mats have been pulled out for a while. Somehow I feel sorry for them, besides, I remember how I soaked them in stain removers and washed them ...)
The car is getting closer and closer to a small repair (paint brushes). In addition to the fact that a few months ago an unknown “Good Man†scratched my rear bumper on the right side, I now scratched the left side too, not noticing a metal peg sticking out of the ground, well planted by a local gardener. Of course, I swore for a very long time and I wanted to tear out this piece of iron, but there was nothing to be done, I had to paint it, at the same time I would paint over the radiator grill in the color of the body. Now directly about observation. After buying the car, the mileage has changed by 7000 km. During this time, the car has never failed. Auto in perfect condition. It is necessary to change only 2 salent blocks on the rear beam, which are almost completely covered with cracks. I have already bought the rubber bands and they are in the trunk just in case, although I will probably change them only after the winter (as they advised in the service). By the way, I was told that even if the native salentblocks are cracked, they will live much longer than the new ones, even if it is the original. So I go until I start to get different squeaks and rattling. )
I think the perfect condition is the merit of the previous owner, for which many thanks to him. The machine absorbs some oil. For 7000 km, I added about 500 g, the service said that for a 2001 car, this is normal and there is nothing wrong with that, on the contrary, it’s good.
After dismantling the spacers, the car began to behave very well at any speed. Let's see what happens in the winter.
The time for an oil change in the engine is creeping up, I plan to fill in, like last time, the original synthetics, although the engine quickly devours it. They said in the store that synthetics are changed every 15,000, but I don’t want to check these guesses, an approximate replacement will occur at 9,000 - 10,000 thousand km.
Noticed something wrong with the car. When warming up in cold weather, some kind of bad smell is emitted from the exhaust pipe and you can hear how the speed floats a little, although the tachometer needle stands as if rooted to the spot. I don't know, maybe I just don't know what to complain about?! )
Perhaps I will not put winter tires, because. in Astrakhan, snow lies for about 10 days for the entire winter season. If I already skated on bare rubber on the ED, then on the Corolla, I think there will be no problems.
In short, the car suits me perfectly. Recently they offered 330,000 for it, but refused to give it, moreover, in Astrakhan, demand is growing very well for Corollas. But here's the bad luck, we have a lot of Corolla, but there are only a few good ones! )
