Front pad replacement — logbook Toyota Carina 1996
When braking, I began to notice an unpleasant metallic rattle. It was obvious that a scribe came to the pads. I went and bought it right away.
I've never changed pads before, so this was my first time.
Jack up the car and remove the wheel.
With a key of 14, we unscrew the lower bolt of the guide, while holding it with a key of 17.
Pull up the cylinder and pull out the pads.
And we see such a picture.
We put plates on new pads and install them in place.
We take such a key and drown the cylinder.
Then we assemble in the reverse order.
It took about 30 minutes. Everything is easy and simple, thanks to Japanese engineers)))
Issue price: 1 120 ₽ Mileage: 153223 kmYes, I'm thinking of changing the assembly, if I'm going to. But there will be a nuance, 14 discs will no longer fit (
not the right word, tired, and there’s not much choice, I hope it’s enough until spring. Yes, the disks themselves are also sneaking up on pi.
YES, the old ones are noticeably tired :)
In general, I heard that nisshinbo is not a very good company, they sharpen the disk too much
Correctly noticed, I didn’t look right away when I drowned the piston, so I thought that it had flowed onto the liquid, and when I looked into the tank, then there was a swing. I didn’t have to pump out much, but now I will know)
key? and I drowned the cylinder with my fingers when I changed it) it’s really more convenient with the key! must be remembered! the brake fluid level is not higher than the maximum now after replacing the pads, otherwise I had to cast. more after replacement
But about the rear pads can be more detailed, what were? like an exchange of experience
Nishinbo chose, read a bunch of reviews and still concluded that nishimbo would be better than kashiyama from duplicates :) I think in the spring you can just disassemble one side and compare how much the pads and discs have worn off, for this you can now measure the thickness of the disc and the output, so that it is with what to compare!
By the way, on Sunday I was engaged in rear brakes … I threw the pads installed to hell in the summer … I will describe the details later in the mini report.
Yes, in principle, it’s understandable, I’m interested in the firm of pads, so as not to step on a rake)
will be more detailed, I will torture the report in a week ... but there is a minus, I didn’t take a photo ... it was cool outside, I was in a hurry and didn’t film the process, I just stupidly disassembled and assembled the mechanism :) I can simply describe what I did ... and in what sequence ...)
I just do something incomprehensible with the pads, you slowly drive and they snort with a very unpleasant sound, although there are still almost half of them.
