Moving seat heating buttons — logbook Toyota Corolla 2008
So, today I set myself the task of moving the seat heating buttons to a convenient place.
Given:
Toyota Corolla
screwdriver Phillips
screwdriver flat
arms out of the shoulders
head on the same shoulders
desire
courage
Task: move the buttons from point A to point B.
Solution.
1. Remove the lower gray plastic inserts, pull them from the joint towards you, then go down and put them to the side (you can on the panel)
2. Unscrew the two screws that hold the ashtray and cigarette lighter compartment and put them there too.
3. We remove the casing from the gearbox, it is held on by latches, you can help yourself with your finger from below, and lift it up, turning it inside out.
4. Disconnect the gearbox frame from the cigarette lighter compartment, it is on 2 latches. Then we disconnect it at the base, there are also 2 latches. We do this by lifting up. We remove the frame completely so as not to interfere.
5. We take out the cigarette lighter compartment and set it aside.
6. And finally, we draw out that socket with buttons. She sits on the latches on the sides, which are easier to pick up with a screwdriver, and on the latches with a panel of knobs (or climate control - whatever you like). We pull on ourselves, we see that it does not go. we are afraid to break something, but we pull harder and with a click it is in your hands.
7. Next, we carry out our plans. We remove the contacts from the buttons (there is also a latch), pull out the plug and buttons from the holes, swap them.
8. Then everything is in reverse order:
contacts, socket, cigarette lighter compartment, compartment screws, gearbox frame, gearbox casing, decorative inserts.
9. We look and rejoice that everything is at hand.
A bit blurry though...
For a visual aid, I filmed it on my phone in stages:
Issue price: 0 ₽ Mileage: 22142 kmNot in the know, you need to look in the bortoviks of those who have changed and think about changing one or is it completely confused to change the color? But there is no time at all :-(
Offset! =)
And again I have to analyze the backlight of the left krutilki burned out :-(
And it’s not convenient for me to bend my arm from this side, it’s too close, ergonomically it’s much more convenient where they were before.
Greetings!
Sooooo big request, look at the number on the connector for the seat heating button and preferably with pictures! many thanks in advance!
