Moving on to SMD LEDs - Toyota Carina ED, 2.0L, 1994

Moving on to SMD LEDs - Toyota Carina ED 20L 1994

I went to a radio parts store and came across bright blue smd-LEDs at 9ru apiece. The thought has matured to replace the backlight in the legs in front. As a result, 10 LEDs were purchased. Then the usual telephone "noodles" were taken, on which five LEDs were soldered with a step of 5 cm. At first I wanted to install just the resulting strips, then I thought that it would be more practical to cram the whole thing into a transparent tube. After going around the nearby shops, nothing suitable was found. As a result, I decided to use pipes from ordinary Bon-aqua bottles. cut strips along the bottle height of 30cm and a width of 3.5cm and glued the tubes with a super-moment. then he stuffed strips with LEDs into them. and made fasteners so that the tubes could be freely adjusted in the direction of the lighting and could be pulled out (as normal tubes fall, so that you can replace it without problems). The resistors had to be replaced. Those that were for conventional 1kOhm LEDs turned out to be unsuitable. Too weak light came out. By selecting the resistances, it turned out that in order to obtain a voltage of 3V on the strip, a resistance of 190 ohms was needed (4 pieces of 750 ohms came out of the available resistors in parallel). At 100 ohms, the voltage is 3.2V. At the same time, they burn brighter, but I'm not sure if this is normal for them. It will be necessary to look at the nominal operating voltage of the LED according to the specification, but first go to the store and see all the same their marking. With SMD LEDs, lighting is now visible even in the daytime and there is no point lighting effect. With conventional LEDs, only in the dark was the backlight visible and the light was somewhat spotty. The photos are not very high quality now.

PS: // (the schematic is not for this entry, although ideas for revision arose here, and perhaps it will be used here)
