Installation of angel eyes — logbook Toyota Avensis 2008
So I decided to describe how I installed angel eyes on the car.
Somewhere I saw how they look on Avensis and caught fire.
For one, and painted black.
I bought xenon eyes from Mazda 3 I took off
the headlights and bumper from the car and that's what it became
In order to remove the glass from the headlight, it is necessary to melt the sealant, for this I put it in the oven for 5-10 minutes at a temperature of 100 degrees
Dismantled the headlight
Chrome elements painted black, reflectors not painted
Installed eyes
Then you need to degrease the headlight inside and seal everything.
And this is what it looks like at night
Issue price: 3,000 ₽ Mileage: 20,000 kmIn Yekaterinburg, there are 2 of these for sure, one is mine and the other is someone else's. I was shocked when I saw "my car" in the rearview mirror, only then it dawned on me that it was not me
Yes, yes, I noticed just peering like they are burning, but it seems not) Well, that means you need no flash)
the near one was turned off, it was the flash of the camera that shone so brightly. In the middle while there is a regular halogen
It looks very cool, just had to add a photo, at night, only with eyes without low beam!)
there is a hole under the headlight, technical, it is sealed with a film. tore off this tape, put the wires
well done))) but can you tell me more about disassembling the headlights? and back when collecting the old sealant left?
Aquarium sealant is sold in large tubes, it costs 150 rubles, it will have enough headlights for 10-15, it is necessary to coat it abundantly and it will be ready. In the oven, heated for 5-10 minutes at 100-115 degrees
I would love to install it, but as I remember the process of disassembling the headlight and reassembling it, I don’t want to go there, they dried the headlight twice, the water climbed into the headlight unit. How much did you heat in the oven and at what temperature?
it dries for a long time, it takes a long time to wait, and it’s not glue, it still won’t be possible to clearly remove all the sealant from the headlight, but in interaction with the sealant, it turns out to be porridge, which in the end does not dry.
Do you mean aquarium? It’s silicone, you definitely can’t glue the headlights with it
when I ordered low beam modules, they sent me a special sealant, silicone doesn’t work, don’t invent nonsense, you can also use vibroplast as a basis, from the same as a good sealant goes, its heating can be laid between the glass and the headlight housing
And anyway, there are not many fucks with parsing headlights, but it hurts to remember all this
Good day, I also bought these, but the question is, if it doesn’t make it difficult, you can connect a photo of exactly how to connect it, I have an attenuation controller there, i.e. when the neighbor is turned on, they are extinguished, there are three wires from the controller, I heard that you need to connect to the relay, but where is it located?
