why are you surprised? your computer is very fit for this operating system, so from 8GB of RAM it eats 2GB
hmm, the author has been pushing 2GB of RAM - very little even for x32 w7 (as far as I remember, the configured win7 x32 consumed about 0.8-1 GB of RAM)
