What do people die of (Into the Stars)

Initially 10,000 tel. I starved them to death, and with the lack of air I strangled them to 1000. Then I took food and air, but these bastards still died. Slowly, but dead. I twisted an income indicator of some kind, arrows of the percentages of happiness, health, etc. turned green. No incidents. The modules work (but the integrity is somewhere around 50%). And these bastards gradually died out ...

Why did I do this? For from 1000 I live 10 times longer. And when there are 100 bodies left, then I finally stock up on provisions for 10 years), i.e. fly in space and waste electricity on the driftwood.

I will not admit that it is killing them ... Maybe there are really faulty modules (not 100) ...

I found out that it is necessary to periodically save and it is desirable to archive the saves.
Suddenly, for no apparent reason, my colonists began to die again, but not constantly, but in connection with various emerging problems. This is normal, but why all of a sudden?))
I survived and left. Then all the rules were loaded, people do not care about problems, no one dies)

I will add that I killed 9k people and from 1000 population it is very normal to fly. Basically, at first, I stupidly stood at the planet and pumped piloting, geology and the rest, periodically offered. I got a hangar and you rest at the planet for 600 days ...
