I run only with rangers almost, everything suits me, they knock down enemies in batches, the rangers are in general imba here. I have a grenadier in my team, there is a benefit from him, he knows how to throw grenades at long distances, and wears them in greater numbers than other fighters, he can hit and weaken several opponents at once, he is still in a servo suit, or whatever it is called I don’t remember already. There, a rocket launcher is built into the hand, in short, everything around himself explodes and smashes this fighter.
Three more rangers, everything rests on them, I gave them all plasma rifles, I can't stand shotguns in any games, I don't like this type of weapon at all. The dudes themselves are pumped up, shoot accurately, inflict great damage, then approach each other if necessary, run very long distances and cut everyone with their swords. And if the grenadier still worked around the squares with grenades, then in general, rarely does anyone survive after their first blow with a sword.
And there is one specialist, half medic, half burglar and half pi ... op. I think to take a ranger instead of him, or another grenadier, otherwise there is no sense from a specialist. I have never treated anyone, I have not had to, they are usually treated on the ship with me, there was also no particular need to hack, turrets rarely come across, I blow up robots. I think I'll open up the possibility of taking six, and I will have four rangers, one grenadier and one psionic.
I have not yet pumped psionics, I think to start, the very idea of ​​subjugating the mind and controlling the enemy's soldiers I always liked in all games, I think to open the psionic for pleasure. At first I used snipers, but they are somehow not effective here, there is little use from them. In general, I think the ranger is a versatile fighter, and he shows himself well near, and shoots well from afar, plus there are also grenades.

4 ranges, 2 psychos for extra. moves and other joys.
You can leave the Khevik with grenades.
Snipers were taxiing in the 1st part.
At the very least, everyone knows how to hack without a specialist gremlin.
The only drawback is the explosion of robots after killing with a sword, and of acid, to a lesser extent - you can walk along the wipoints with ALT held down.
Khevik can help out well on missions with chryssalids (they usually hang out in a bunch) when they bury themselves, but this can be solved if you take detectors to the rangers.

I always take 2 specialists to hack enemy mechs. In the end, the rangers have weak sword damage, which is more profitable to shoot with plasma.

1 Sniper
1 Doctor.
Snipers with a cone overwatch are ideal for ambush and lure, and the mark replaces old death from the height of the
Greniki tearing armor, while the ghost deals massive damage with 100% accuracy and crit from stealth.
The swordsman was needed for tanking, the reaper was always killing someone, so invulnerability worked.
The doctor was just a fireman, he helped with the gatekeepers with their aoe.
The psycho was needed for finishing and control, he rarely used inspiration.

PS: grenades through grenades are creepy, by the way. One acid, the other gas and plasma. They blow the crowds to pieces, plus the gas does not allow any assholes to shoot accurately.

The second first sat out, and then suddenly ran at my fighters and died under return fire.
The third one sat out more than anyone else, I lured him out with a couple of grenades until he threw himself close to the fighters.
The codes interfered all the time - they were casting their own psi-things, from which the weapon had to be reloaded. So we were lucky with the third Avatar.
