Magic in the game? (Bloodborne)

Actually, the question is simple: is there magic in the game?
I played in the previous series of Souls, I was there in full, here I donâ€™t understand how (I didnâ€™t play much yet).

There are runes that increase the number of bullets from 1 to 4. no other way.
