A guide to Ard Skellig (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt)

The merchant in the first village on Skellig has a whole stack of guidebooks, if you take all of them, you get 1100 gold, a little expensive. The question is: does it make sense to buy them if I'm going to explore for the first time on my own two feet and boats anyway? Am I correct in saying that travel guides are just to save time on research?

These guidebooks, after reading, will give you the points of movement on the islands, if you do not need it you can not take it.

Even at the 8th level it was enough for me to buy them and there is still more.

and what did you do there at that level? it seems to go there from level 16
