Shading Rate. What is this option? (Metro Exodus)

Guys, the last setting, something to do with shaders shading rate I understand is the default 1.0, can be raised up to 4.0 max fps really puts, but didn't see the difference in graphics. Does anyone know what is this option?

Mmm... if that's what I thought, then multiply by the factor you specify the resolution and then converts it to the original ( i.e. if you have a 1920*1080 ), then 2 would mean that 2K image is converted in yours, and 4, respectively 4K.
Roughly speaking you're playing in 2K resolution on 1920*1080

While improving the texture become sharper. If the stock power of a graphics card allows you can get slightly better and achieve an acceptable fps for a comfortable game. From 2.5 to 4.0 for your eyes not notice the difference.

Shading Rate, blackout speed, gray patches and light. It's like tracing rays.
To see, you need 16 bits of monitor. At 8 bit it is decided by adding to the palette - the scale.
