Group of Characters (XCOM 2)
How do I use characters from the "Group of Characters" in the game?skinnyelf
It seems that first create these same fighters in the "group of characters", and then in the game itself they need to be hired .. I haven't checked it myself, but it should be so ...

in the recruiting section, they do not appear. Maybe in time they will appear with the appearance of "fresh" recruits.
Look at the headquarters, sometimes they appear as mercenaries, sometimes they give for missions as recruits

Perhaps so. I think SVAEIG is right that they can be "passed off" as assignments. The main thing is that they should definitely appear for hiring, and immediately or later - another question. Although it is easier to hire anyone and dazzle as you like. Fortunately, this game allows it (in the first xcom it was not enough) ...
SOS ... There was a question who understood help. I created a pool of 2 dozen Persians of each specialty, 3 Persians + 2 VIPs per specialty, in total 25 bodies. I started the game, and after the first mission I was given 3 of my Persians (recruits and I thought that they would receive those specialties that I had defined), but after the second mission, the specialties got lost, i.e. I made a sniper from a woman and gave me a specialist, instead of a ranger I got a grenadier, and instead of a grenadier, a sniper. In the group of Persians, I set the point for only soldiers, moreover, I tried to start a new mission, and at the same time I was sometimes given some kind of left-wing Persians whom I did not make. I didn’t understand something, either I’m dull or the skis don’t go. Can I be sure that those Persians who are VIPs will be with the given specialties? if not what is the meaning of this constructor? Help, explain to me what kind of parsley is here (

As the comrade says above, it's easier to alter the already received fighters for yourself.

I'm only interested in the ability to distribute specialties in advance, and whether it works at all

Same problem. Try not to give them an increase right after the mission, but first save and then give them an increase A, if it doesn’t work, then restart. Save after each successful promotion
This is for those who want to see their only chance of the Persians rather than to the generated quasimodes)
In the folder Documents My Games XCOM2 XComGame Config
file XComGameData.ini
find (ctrl + the F)
InitialSoldiersCharacterPoolSelectionMode =
RewardUnitCharacterPoolSelecti
RecruitsCharacterPoolSelecti
and replace with:
InitialSoldiersCharacterPoolSelectionMode = eCPSM_PoolOnly
eCPSM_PoolOnly RewardUnitCharacterPoolSelecti
RecruitsCharacterPoolSelecti eCPSM_PoolOnly
The default is "Mixed" - 50/50. Can be changed to "RandomOnly", then only random characters will appear.

The same thing happened and it's very strange. At the beginning of the game, they gave 3 fighters from the pool, when they were raised, they were given random classes. The rest of the fighters were hired. For now, the real method is to persist and load until the class is needed.
But what about psionics? Immediately, the game will not give such a class, as I understand it, no matter how much you load. And then you can't change it. It is better not to take them out of hiring until there is a psi laboratory or what is required in the second part?

As far as I know, the class can be changed during the game, retraining lasts 10 days and requires a lot of resources, but this also applies to psionics and I'm worried about how to do them at all. Project avatar or at least slow down for a holop pass the game as it is not a camelfo.
