Communication in a cooperative with gestures! (Bloodborne)

Actually, I rummaged through the game settings and could not find how to use commands or any emotions (gestures). That is, they can tell me where to go, they can greet me, they can even dance. So is this how to use them, keyboard shortcuts or how?

Click on the touch panel on the left (or on the right, I donâ€™t remember exactly), a menu of gestures will appear, select the desired one and confirm by pressing X.

I own Sonya for a month, I did not know about the G-sensor that it has a right / left press, I thought it was one big button-sensor.
