Run Starcraft offline game. Go to settings.
Minimize the game, and uncheck the read-only checkbox of the Variables.txt file
located in the My Documents StarCraft II folder.
The game is deployed, change something in the settings (I personally changed the graphics settings) and apply.
Minimized again, play and tick read-only.
Checked on a repack from mechanics.
