Natural Resistance - Higher is Lower ?? (Diablo 2)

The question is. I play as a barbarian against a computer, difficulty nightmare, 42 lvl.
After the 1st quest from Akara, an extra is given. skill.
This means that I increase the "natural resistance" to ur. 6 (+ 35% to all, including poison). Then I look at the character's screen, and there - only 5 from lightning, 15 from poison and a little more from the cold and about. It was even better before the promotion!
Is this a bug?
Or, with each new level on the nightmare, all resistances decrease?
If not, then explain, plz how to count the resistances and is there any point in pumping this skill from a var? (Natural Resistane)

Thank you very much in advance

You probably didn't just pay attention, but when you switch to a nightmare, all resists are reduced by -40%

And in hell -100%. By the way, the more you apply this skill, the less there is an increase. At first, he gives 15-10-5 resists, and then he will give 1 per level or even two. Therefore, it is customary to download it to 1, but it is not easy to find clothes with + skills in a single, so you can do more (up to 7 somewhere).

newbie42, there is also a miracle skill - "Dance of the whirlwind of death", there, with the pumping of the skill, the damage of the weapon decreases. do not download this skill!

In general, it is better not to throw more than 1 point into this skill. Because of dimishing return, xs like in Russian. The bottom line is that the further you pump, the less each next point gives - and the things that give + all skills, there will be enough points in it to the level at which the increase is already 1%

ixdon, yes, this phrase is not easy to translate. :-) it's easier to give an example.

Well, here is a table from this skill as an example:

Natural Resistance level / + Resist all%
1 13% / + 13%
2 21% / + 8%
3 28% / + 7%
4 35% / + 7%
5 40% / + 5%
6 44% / + 4%
7 47% / + 3%
8 49% / + 2%
9 52% / + 3%
10 54% / + 2%
11 56% / + 2%
12 58% / + 2%
13 60% / + 2%
14 61% / + 1%
15 62% / + 1%
16 62% / + 0%
17 64% / + 2%
18 65% / + 1%
19 66% / +1 %
20 67% / + 1%
According to the calculator, at the 99th skill level he will have + 82%, and at the 999th - 87%.

apparently, reading any foreign mark has done its job, the
curve that you call "diminishing returns" (x * max / (x + max)) is called a hyperbola,
and its behavior at large initial numbers can be called, for example, hyperbolic approximation and hyperbolic asymptotics

what is a hyperbola, in theory, at school should pass

and even now I looked at Wikipedia - it turns out that this concept is from economics and it is called the "law of diminishing returns", but there it is not some specific formula (as in d2) but general title to decrease the usefulness of each subsequent investment
